Robert’s American Gourmet Food, Inc. of Sea Cliff, New York is expanding its snack recall to include Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks Snack Food, all lots and sizes, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
     
Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks were distributed nationwide and Canada, and sold through local distributors, internet sales, phone orders, mail orders and retail outlets.

Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks are packed in a flexible, plastic foil bag in a 6 oz. size, and has UPC 15665-10356. The brand name is Robert’s American Gourmet and all codes and expiration dates of Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks are being recalled.

Consumers who purchased Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks, and still have product in their homes should discard the contents of the package Super Veggie Tings and contact us at 1-800-626-7557 for reimbursement of your purchase.

Iowa Firm Recalls Beef and Chicken Products Due To Mislabeling

Agriprocessors, Inc.,is recalling approximately 35,860 pounds of frozen beef and chicken products because they may contain egg albumen, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.

The following products are subject to recall:


The frozen chicken and beef products were produced on various dates between Jan. 14 and July 3 and were distributed to food service establishments and institutions nationwide. In addition, the one-pound packages of Kishka were also distributed through retail stores.

Artisan Confections Issues Recall of Kumasi Sambirano Dark Chocolate Bars 

Artisan Confections Company is recalling its Scharffen Berger Kumasi Sambirano 68 percent Cacao Pure Dark Chocolate bars because they may contain undeclared milk. No other Scharffen Berger items are involved in this recall.

The 3 ounce bars are wrapped in distinctive green packaging and were sold over the Internet and through specialty retail outlets nationwide from March 2006 to June 2007. All lot numbers of the item are covered by the recall. This was a limited-edition item that is no longer in production.

Canned Meat Products May Contain Clostridium botulinum

Castleberry's Food Company, an Augusta, Ga., establishment owned by Bumble Bee Foods, LLC, is recalling approximately 721,389 pounds of canned meat products that may contain Clostridium botulinum as a result of an equipment malfunction.

The canned meat products were produced between April 30 and May 22, 2007 and were distributed to retail establishments in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Castleberry’s Expands Recall of Hot Dog Chili Sauce and Canned Meat Products

Castleberry’s Food Company is expanding its recall originally announced on July 18 due to the risk of botulinum toxin, a bacterium which can cause botulism.

The recall originally announced on July 18 affected only 10 products with ‘best by’ dates from APR30 2009 through MAY22 2009. The extended recall now includes the following canned products in the following sizes with all ‘best by’ and code dates:

In addition, the following canned Natural Balance brand pet food products, which Castleberry’s co-packs for Natural Balance, are being recalled. These include:

Consumers should not use these products even if they do not look or smell spoiled. Consumers with these products should dispose of them by double bagging in plastic bags that are tightly closed before being placed in a trash receptacle for non-recyclable trash outside of the home, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Nissin Foods (USA) Co., Inc. Issues Recall for Cod and Lobster in Certain Noodle Products

Nissin Foods (USA) Co., Inc. is recalling selected shrimp-flavored noodle products as a safety precaution after it was discovered that the seafood-flavored powder used in these Nissin products also contains cod and lobster.

Individuals who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to cod or lobster may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these specific shrimp-flavored products.

The recalled products were distributed throughout the United States through grocery stores and other food stores, under the names Nissin Original Chow Mein Shrimp and Nissin Cup Noodles Shrimp. Nissin Cup Noodles Shrimp was also sold through Wal-Mart stores under the label "Great Value Instant Shrimp" at Winn Dixie stores under the label "Thrifty Maid with Shrimp Oriental Noodles with Vegetables" and at Aldi grocery stores under the label "Jehling Ramen Noodle Soup Cup with Shrimp and Vegetables."

Michigan Firm Recalls Ground Beef Products Due to Possible E. coli O157:H7 Contamination
Abbott's Meat Inc., a Flint, Mich., establishment, is recalling approximately 26,669 pounds of ground beef products because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.

Dul-Mex Guadalajara Inc. of Hayward is recalling  De La Rosa Pulparindo candy imported from Mexico because of high levels of lead in the product. 

De la Rosa Pulparindo is a tamarind pulp candy packaged in 10-ounce boxes that contain individually wrapped 0.49 ounce candies. The 10-ounce boxes are bright red in color with the word "Pulparindo" boldly printed in black letters.
