Perfect Candy & Packaging Co. Announces a Recall of Whole Black Pepper in H.D.W. FOODS Labeled Bags 

Perfect Candy & Packaging Co is recalling the following products because of potential Salmonella contamination. 

Whole Black Peppercorns, 2.0 oz Bags UPC# 080869654293

This item packaged and sold within the parameters mentioned is subject to this recall. The item was distributed nationwide. Retailers are advised to remove this product from store shelves. Consumers who have purchased these products are asked to destroy them.

Modern Products, Inc. is recalling products manufactured with HVP (Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein) supplied by Basic Food Flavors of Las Vegas, Nevada, because the ingredient has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

C. H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is recalling additional products containing a pepper ingredient that may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The following products were sold in grocery stores throughout the United States 

 The code dates are printed on the side of master cases and embossed on the side seals of individual packages.

Consumers who would like a refund or replacement product should return the unopened package to the store where they purchased the product.

Blue Line Foodservice Distribution recalls "Spice Paks" 

Blue Line Foodservice Distribution of Farmington Hills, MI is recalling Little Caesars Spice Paks. The Spice Paks are small white packets, approximately 1.5'' X 2.5'' that contain black pepper and other spices. The Spice Paks may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The packets do not have lot codes or UPC codes. 

Consumers who have the Spice Paks in their possession should not use them and should throw them away.

Walong Marketing, Inc. Expands Recall Flying Horse Sesame Chewy Candy 

Walong Marketing, Inc. of Buena Park, California is expanding a  recall of Flying Horse Sesame Chewy Candy due to undeclared peanuts to include Flying Horse White Sesame Chewy Candy. 

The following items affected by the recall were sold through retail stores nationwide:

All "Best Before" dates between 08/2010 to 01/15/2011 that have not been relabeled with a white auxiliary ingredient label are affected by this recall.

Consumers who have purchase the product prior to March 22, 2010 are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Mincing Overseas Spice Company, Dayton, New Jersey, Frontier Natural Products Co-op, is recalling several of its products manufactured with non-organic black pepper that were sold under the Frontier brand and under the Whole Foods Market brands listed below that contain black pepper supplied by Mincing Overseas Spice Company. The black pepper has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Olde Westport Spice is recalling 5- and 10-oz. jars and 20-oz. bags of Garden Harvest Special Blend Seasoning because an ingredient used in the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The Special Blend Seasoning was sold online at www.oldwestportspice.com, at food and craft shows in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas and Colorado and at limited specialty gift shops located in Kansas and Missouri.

The Olde Westport Special Blend does not have any codes on the packaging to identify the product affected by the recall. Therefore, if Garden Harvest Special Blend Seasoning was purchased from November 1, 2009 thru February 28, 2010, it is to be recalled.

Homemade Gourmet of Canton, Texas is recalling approximately 320 packages of 1.96 oz Tortilla Soup Mix, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

"Tortilla Soup Mix" is distributed nationwide via mail order delivery and through independent consultant sales. The recalled lots are S1004812411 and S1004912111, which were sold 2/17/2010 through 3/1/2010. All known purchasers of the 320 packages have been contacted and told to destroy them. A full refund has been offered to every customer and consultant.

"Tortilla Soup Mix" is packaged in clear plastic packages with red and beige labeling. The product was sold individually in a 1.96 oz (55.6 g) pouch, and as part of two kits including the "Let’s Make Dinner Collection (stock #40.1032) or the "$800 pre-select" order for consultants (stock #37.0320).

Potential distribution took place on or after October 19th, 2009 to February 17th, 2010. These products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The product involved includes the following sizes: 1 lb Quart (jar), 4 lb Gallon, 8 lb Bucket (new pail).
