London Meat Company, a New York, N.Y., establishment, is recalling approximately 200 pounds of country breakfast sausage because it contains monosodium glutamate (MSG), which is not declared on the label.

The products subject to recall include:


Each box bears the establishment number “EST. 8777” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were made-to-order for restaurants and caterers in the New York City area through Feb. 21, 2012.

The Florida Brewery, Inc. is recalling certain lots of Goya, Great Value, Hatuey, Mr. Special, Polar, Publix, Regal, and SuperMax brand non-alcoholic malta beverages packaged in 7-oz bottles because glass on the exterior of the bottles may break when the twist-off cap is removed from the bottle and can result in cuts to the mouth.

The Chili Station, a Ludlow, Mass. establishment, is recalling approximately 3,800 pounds of chili products because they may have been produced without the benefit of federal inspection.

Case labels or packaging may bear the establishment numbers "EST. 6380" or "P-6380" inside the mark of inspection or simply ink-jetted on the case label, and the products were sold in Massachusetts. The problem was discovered during a routine Food Safety Assessment conducted by FSIS.

AA Meat Products Corporation, a Maywood, Calif. establishment, is recalling an undetermined amount of meat and poultry products because they may have been produced without the benefit of federal inspection.

Wisconsin Firm Recalls Cooked Pork Hocks Due To Misbranding and an Undeclared Allergen

Han Yang Inc., a Milwaukee, Wisc., establishment, is recalling approximately 25,600 pounds of cooked pork hocks because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products contain wheat, a known allergen, which is not noted on the label.

The products subject to recall include: 

The products bear the establishment number "EST. 21880" inside the USDA mark of inspection, and have a four month shelf life. The products subject to recall were produced between Oct. 7, 2011, and Feb. 7, 2012, and were distributed for wholesale and retail use in Los Angeles, Calif. and Chicago, Ill. areas.

Walmart Recalls Cruller Bakery Pastries Due To Mislabeled Milk Allergen

Walmart recalled its eight-count packages of Cruller bakery pastries because the common name of milk was not listed following sodium caseinate, a milk derivative, on the ingredient label. 

The eight-count packaged bakery items affected by this recall have a UPC code of 787429847 which can be found on the box label. The items affected by this recall have expiration dates of on or before Feb. 9, 2012. The pastries can be recognized as a ring-shaped twisted sweet cake similar to a doughnut. The products were labeled and sold in Walmart store bakeries in Puerto Rico and all US states with the exception of Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Customers with questions about this recall may call the Walmart Customer Service at 1-800-Walmart (1-800-925-6278) or return the product to their nearest store for a full refund.

Grand Strand Sandwich Company of Longs, SC is recalling its 4.5oz and 5 oz Chicken Salad Sandwiches, with the following labels: Grand Strand Sandwich, Lunch Box Sandwiches, and Country Harvest Sandwiches. They have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

North Carolina Firm Recalls Chicken Salad Products Due To Possible Listeria Contamination

Bost Distributing Company doing business as Harold Food Company, a Bear Creek, N.C. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,200 pounds of chicken salad products. The products contain eggs that are the subject of a recall due to concerns about contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The following products are subject to recall: 

Each box has a "Sell By" date of 2/15/2012 and bears the establishment number "P-20479" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were sent to a distributor in South Carolina for further distribution to retail establishments in North Carolina and South Carolina. The chicken salad products may have been repackaged as sandwiches under a brand other than Harold Food Co. and no longer bear the identifying information listed above.

California Firm Recalls Prepared Sandwiches that Contain Hard-Cooked Eggs 

GH Foods CA, LLC was notified by their supplier that the eggs supplied to them were from Michael Foods, Inc, who recalled Hard-Cooked eggs due to potential contamination by Listeria monocytogenes.

GH Foods CA, LLC, Sacramento, California, is therefore recalling sandwiches, associated with the affected eggs, due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.

The sandwiches affected by the recalled eggs from Michael Foods, Inc., were distributed in the state of California. Products were sold in Walgreens retail stores only.

The product is packaged in a cellophane wrapper and sold under the Delish brand. Products affected include the code dates listed below. Code dates are listed on the Principal Display Panel.

Greencore, USA – Cincinnati, Recalls Egg Salad Sandwiches with Brand Name Quick Café and Take Away Café  

Greencore, USA is recalling approximately 550 pounds of egg salad sandwiches.   

The sandwiches contain eggs manufactured by Michael Foods Inc that are the subject of a previous recall due to possible contamination with Listeria Monocytogenes.

The sandwich products were produced starting  Jan. 18, 2012 and then distributed to retail stores in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The company has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of these products.

Wegmans Recalls Various Prepared Foods That Contain Hard-Cooked Eggs Produced by Michael Foods

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is recalling hard-cooked eggs, as well as prepared foods that contain hard-cooked eggs, sold between January 23 and February 1, 2012 because the eggs have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

This recall only affects purchases made at Wegmans’ Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Canandaigua, Newark, Geneva, Corning, Elmira, Geneseo, and  Hornell stores.  It came about as the result of a recent recall by Minnesota-based Michael Foods, Inc., which produces the cooked eggs at its Wakefield, Nebraska facility.

The following affected products sold in Wegmans prepared foods and deli departments are included in the recall:
Hard-Cooked Eggs (sold by the pound in prepared foods or as a choice on the Fresh Foods Bar)    

Eggs (special-order deli tray or 6-pack, 12 pack)
Cobb Salad (10 oz, 43 oz, and 6.5 lb)
Garden Salad (10 oz, 20 oz, 2 lb, and 5 lb)
Baby Spinach Salad (9 oz, 1.8 lb, and 3.9 lb)
Chef Salad (9 oz. and 18 oz.)
Egg Salad (sold by the pound in prepared foods)
Egg Salad Sub (Sub Shop)
Kosher Macaroni Salad (sold by the pound in kosher deli)
Kosher Pickled Eggs (sold by the pound in kosher deli)

S&M USA ENTERPRISE is recalling ZHANG ZHOU BRAND TREMELLA because it may contain undeclared sulfites. 

The recalled ZHANG ZHOU BRAND TREMELLA comes in an un-coded, 150 gram plastic bag and was sold in New York and New Jersey. It is a product of China

W & International Import Inc. is recalling “Rely” Dried Yellow Croaker because the product was found to be un-eviscerated.

The recalled “Rely” Dried Yellow Croaker was distributed nationwide in bulk cardboard boxes. The “Rely” Dried Yellow Croaker is a product of China.

This product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum spores.

W & International Import Inc. is recalling “Rely” Sardine Anchovies because the product was found to be un-eviscerated.

The recalled “Rely” Sardine Anchovies were distributed nationwide in 7.0 oz. plastic packages.  The “Rely” Sardine Anchovies are a product of China.

This product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum spores.

Michael Foods Recalls Hard-Cooked Eggs Packed In Brine Sold In 10- And 25-Pound Pails  

Michael Foods, Inc. is recalling specific lot dates of hard-cooked eggs in brine sold in 10- and 25-pound pails for institutional use that were produced at its Wakefield, Nebraska facility because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes

The recalled eggs were purchased by food distributors and manufacturers located in 34 states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV). The recall is limited to hard-cooked eggs in brine in 10- and 25-pound pails prodced at its Wakefield, Nebraska facility, which are labeled under six brand names (Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti’s, Silverbrook, Wholesome Farms) and bearing lot codes of 1 LOT 1350W through 1 LOT 2025W and expiration dates ranging from 1/30/2012 to 3/10/2012

Only lot codes immediately preceded by a “1” AND ending in a “W” are affected, please see the following example:
