BREAKFAST SAUSAGES
London Meat Company, a New York, N.Y.,
establishment, is recalling approximately 200 pounds of country breakfast
sausage because it contains monosodium glutamate (MSG), which is not declared on
the label.
The products subject to recall include:
- 5-lb boxes of “Milano’s Country
Breakfast Sausage,” containing 80 sausage links per box.
Each box bears the establishment number “EST. 8777” inside the USDA mark of
inspection. These products were made-to-order for restaurants and caterers in
the New York City area through Feb. 21, 2012.

and SuperMax brand non-alcoholic malta beverages packaged in 7-oz bottles
because glass on the exterior of the bottles may break when the twist-off cap is
removed from the bottle and can result in cuts to the mouth.

Pork Hocks Due To Misbranding and an Undeclared Allergen
Han Yang Inc., a Milwaukee, Wisc.,
establishment, is recalling approximately 25,600 pounds of cooked pork hocks
because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products contain wheat, a
known allergen, which is not noted on the label.
The products subject to recall include:
- Shrink wrapped packages of various
weights of "JANG CHUNG DONG HAN YANG KING JOAK BAL COOKED PORK
HOCKS."
The products bear the establishment number "EST. 21880" inside the
USDA mark of inspection, and have a four month shelf life. The products subject
to recall were produced between Oct. 7, 2011, and Feb. 7, 2012, and were
distributed for wholesale and retail use in Los Angeles, Calif. and Chicago,
Ill. areas.

Cruller Bakery Pastries Due To Mislabeled Milk Allergen
Walmart recalled its eight-count
packages of Cruller bakery pastries because the common name of milk was not
listed following sodium caseinate, a milk derivative, on the ingredient
label.
The eight-count packaged bakery items
affected by this recall have a UPC code of 787429847 which can be found on the
box label. The items affected by this recall have expiration dates of on or
before Feb. 9, 2012. The pastries can be recognized as a ring-shaped twisted
sweet cake similar to a doughnut. The products were labeled and sold in Walmart
store bakeries in Puerto Rico and all US states with the exception of Hawaii,
Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Chicken Salad Products Due To Possible Listeria Contamination
Bost Distributing Company doing business
as Harold Food Company, a Bear Creek, N.C. establishment, is recalling
approximately 1,200 pounds of chicken salad products. The products contain eggs
that are the subject of a recall due to concerns about contamination with Listeria
monocytogenes.
The following products are subject to recall:
- 30-lb. boxes of "Harold Food
Co. Grand Strand Deluxe Chicken Salad."
Each box has a "Sell By" date
of 2/15/2012 and bears the establishment number "P-20479" inside the
USDA mark of inspection. The products were sent to a distributor in South
Carolina for further distribution to retail establishments in North Carolina and
South Carolina. The chicken salad products may have been repackaged as
sandwiches under a brand other than Harold Food Co. and no longer bear the

Wegmans Recalls
Various Prepared Foods That Contain Hard-Cooked Eggs Produced by Michael Foods
Wegmans Food Markets, Inc.
is recalling hard-cooked eggs, as well as prepared foods that contain
hard-cooked eggs, sold between January 23 and February 1, 2012 because
the eggs have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
This recall only affects purchases made
at Wegmans’ Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Canandaigua, Newark, Geneva,
Corning, Elmira, Geneseo, and Hornell stores. It came about
as the result of a recent recall by Minnesota-based Michael Foods, Inc., which
produces the cooked eggs at its Wakefield, Nebraska facility.
The following affected products
sold in Wegmans prepared foods and deli departments are included in the recall:
Hard-Cooked Eggs (sold by the pound in prepared foods or as a choice on
the Fresh Foods Bar)
Eggs (special-order deli tray or
6-pack, 12 pack)
Cobb Salad (10 oz, 43 oz, and 6.5 lb)
Garden Salad (10 oz, 20 oz, 2 lb, and 5 lb)
Baby Spinach Salad (9 oz, 1.8 lb, and 3.9 lb)
Chef Salad (9 oz. and 18 oz.)
Egg Salad (sold by the pound in prepared foods)
Egg Salad Sub (Sub Shop)
Kosher Macaroni Salad (sold by the pound in kosher deli)
Kosher Pickled Eggs (sold by the pound in kosher deli)

product in their homes should discard it and return to the service desk for a

Michael Foods Recalls
Hard-Cooked Eggs Packed In Brine Sold In 10- And 25-Pound Pails
Michael Foods, Inc. is
recalling specific lot dates of hard-cooked eggs in brine sold in 10- and
25-pound pails for institutional use that were produced at its Wakefield,
Nebraska facility because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria
monocytogenes.
The recalled eggs were purchased by food distributors and manufacturers located
in 34 states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO,
MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV). The
recall is limited to hard-cooked eggs in brine in 10- and 25-pound pails prodced
at its Wakefield, Nebraska facility, which are labeled under six brand names
(Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti’s, Silverbrook, Wholesome
Farms) and bearing lot codes of 1 LOT 1350W through 1 LOT 2025W and expiration
dates ranging from 1/30/2012 to 3/10/2012
Only lot codes immediately preceded by a “1” AND ending in a “W”
are affected, please see the following example:
