Publix Issues Local Recall for Cinnamon Raisin Bagels

Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall on prepackaged Publix Cinnamon Raisin Bagels (4-pack) located at its stores in South Florida (Key West to Vero Beach). The product was inadvertently packaged with egg bagels, and the ingredient label for cinnamon raisin bagels does not declare eggs.

Customers who have purchased the product may return it to their store for a full refund or replacement. All cinnamon raisin bagels currently for sale are packaged correctly.

Trader Joe's Company Recalls Gourmet Chocolate Fudge Original

Trader Joe's Company of Monrovia, California is recalling Trader Joe's Gourmet Chocolate Fudge (8 oz. original) code BB 07/01/06 LOT 008, because the product may contain walnuts that are not declared on the label. 

Trader Joe's Chocolate Fudge (Original) was potentially sold from Trader Joe's retail stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. 

Consumers who have purchased Trader Joe's Gourmet Chocolate Fudge (Original) are urged to return them to any Trader Joe's store for a full refund.

Arnold Recalling Country Classic Oat Bran Bread In Five Southern States

Arnold Foods Company, Inc. is recalling Arnold brand Country Classic Oat Bran Bread sold in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee because walnuts and hazelnuts were found in the bread. The product being recalled has a code date of either January 8 or January 9, both preceded by the number "360." The code date and number are printed on the front of the product bag.

Consumers with allergies to walnuts or hazelnuts who have purchased the product can return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund or call the company at 1-800-984-0989.

Log House Cherry Flavored Chips, Log House Butterscotch Flavored Chips, and Hy-Vee Butterscotch Flavored Chips Recalled

Log House Foods of Plymouth, MN is recalling all 10 ounce packages of "Log House Cherry Flavored Chips", all 12 ounce packages of "Log House Butterscotch Flavored Chips", and all 12 ounce packages of "Hy-Vee Butterscotch Flavored Chips" because they contain undeclared milk. 

The recalled "Log House Cherry Flavored Chips" and "Log House Butterscotch Chips" were distributed nationwide in retail grocery stores. The "Hy-Vee Butterscotch Chips" were sold by Hy-Vee, Inc. located in the upper Midwest.

Undeclared Peanuts Prompts Recall of Fisher Mixed Nuts

John B. Sanfilippo and Son, Inc. is conducting a voluntary recall on its distribution of Fisher Brand Deluxe Mixed Nuts (w/ No Peanuts) packaged in 32 oz. plastic jars because this product may contain undeclared peanuts. 

The recalled Fisher Brand Deluxe Mixed Nuts product bears a “BEST BY” date of 110506 S1. The recalled product was shipped to the following grocery retailers' distribution centers: Hannaford Co. in South Portland, ME, Kash N' Karry Food Stores in Plant City, FL and Stater Bros. in Colton, CA.

The Fisher Brand Deluxe Mixed Nuts that are being recalled should not be consumed by those who suffer from peanut allergies, but rather returned to the store of purchase for a full refund. Hatfield Quality Meats, a Hatfield, Penn., firm, is  recalling approximately 464,820 pounds of beef franks due to an undeclared allergen (soy protein).

The package labels do not specifically state that soy protein, a potential known allergen, is an ingredient.

  Whole Foods Market is recalling Whole Catch Lemon Pepper Garlic Hot Smoked Trout because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The product, distributed by Whole Foods Market, may have reached consumers via stores in the following states: California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The product can be identified by a label that reads "Whole Catch Lemon Pepper Garlic Hot Smoked Trout." Del Rey Tortilleria, Inc. Issues Recall Due to Possible Health Risk

Del Rey Tortilleria, Inc., Chicago, Illinois is recalling FLOUR TORTILLAS because government officials have associated consumption of the flour tortillas with a series of health symptoms among individuals who complained of stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and headaches.

These reported symptoms typically occurred very soon after consuming the flour tortillas and resolved within one day. There does not appear to be any long-term adverse health effects.

The product was distributed nationwide through food distributors and grocery stores.

The affected products are all sizes and types of FLOUR TORTILLAS with the brand name Del Ray and use-by date codes of March 06, 2006 or earlier. They may be labeled as White Flour Tortillas; Tortillas de Harina; Burritos 2, 3 and 4; or Fajita 8" size.

The recall does not affect flour tortillas made on or after January 20, which will have use-by date codes of March 09, 2006 or later, or any other Del Rey Tortilleria products.

Consumers should immediately return any product subject to the recall to the store where they purchased it for a full refund or replacement.

Rajah Foods, 56-05 55th Drive, Maspeth, New York is recalling "Swad brand Dry Dates" due to the presence of undeclared sulfites. 

The recalled "Swad brand Dry Dates" are packaged in a 7-ounce, uncoded plastic bag. It was sold throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. It is a product of India.

Consumers who have purchased "Swad brand Dry Dates" should return them to the place of purchase.

Hasty Tasty Food Service Recalls Sandwiches Due to Undeclared Allergens

Hasty Tasty Food Service Inc./DBA Valley Vending of Davenport Iowa is recalling the following items: Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Ham Salad, and Tuna Salad sandwiches because they contain undeclared Dairy allergens (sweet dairy whey and butter). 

The Chicken Salad, Ham Salad, Egg Salad sandwiches were labeled under the brand names of Valley Vending/Hasty Tasty, Venture Vending, Prime Vending, and M & M Vending. Only the Tuna Salad Sandwiches were labeled with the Valley Vending/Hasty Tasty label. The sandwiches were distributed in the states of Iowa and Illinois through our mobile catering trucks and/or vending machines.

These products can be identified by the brand name and are packaged in a plastic wedge container with a date code on or before 1/26/06. The net weight on the label is 4.5 oz.
