Shivvers Manufacturing Announces Recall of Blower Blades for the Jazee and Jazee One Grass Collection Systems

Manufacturer: Shivvers Manufacturing of Corydon, Iowa

Hazard: The ends of the blades on these Country Clipper riding mowers can break off and become projectiles, leaving the mower deck at a high rate of speed. The recalled blades can break because “slots” in the blade cause metal fatigue.

Description: The Country Clipper riding mowers are red with black wheels and controls. The recalled blades have these model numbers: 629-306P, 629-307P, and 629-308P. The blades are black with two slots cut near the middle of the blade. The replacement blades do not have slots.

Sold through: The recalled blades were sold with grass collection units for Country Clipper Jazee Lawn Mowers nationwide from September 2003 through May 14, 2004, for between $14 and $17 per blade.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the Country Clipper Jazee Lawn Mowers with Grass Collection Systems with the recalled blades immediately. Call the Country Clipper dealer to make an appointment for free replacement of the recalled blades.
